A place where you can feel comfortable
The PURE MOVE studio has been located in the centre of Silvaplana since 2016. The premises are spread over two floors. The result is a 120m² feel-good space with lots of light and space for expressing your personality. Different, partly separated areas are fitted with full Pilates studio apparatus (2 reformers, 2 springboards, 1 Cadillac, 3 chairs, 1 ladder barrel and 1 step barrel).
The lighting concept and the colours can be adapted to different types of movement. The large mirror helps you to detect incorrect movement patterns and to replace them with positive ones. Of course, you will also find a cloakroom and toilet on site. In addition, there is a small shop where you can buy various training materials, aids, exercise clothing and selected small items.
The stylish atmosphere is ideal for practising mindfulness and awareness and will make you feel completely at ease. It is a place where activity and relaxation flow into each other and where you can discover and enhance your physical abilities.
My name is Petra Knellwolf and I am the founder and owner of PURE MOVE. The Engadine is my adopted home and I love pursuing my vocation here. I accompany people on their journey towards muscular balance, body awareness and relaxation. I am convinced that Pilates and yoga are suitable for every type of body, and that they provide a valuable basis for a healthy and satisfied life. I can’t get enough of them.
I have extensive professional experience acquired over two decades, and an interest in a wide variety of sports. This has taught me to understand different movement sequences and inspired me to coach people. In my opinion, whether or not a training session is beneficial depends on whether the exercises are carried out consciously and in a focussed manner. That’s why I make my instructions and explanations as precise as possible and adapt my choice of words to different types of movement. I will help you to put my guidance into practice and show you how to activate your muscles correctly so that you too can become your best self. I have often achieved little miracles with my own body thanks to these techniques.
My teaching style is mindful, varied, precise and focused on the functionality of the body. I put a lot of empathy and enthusiasm into my classes. My knowledge and awareness are constantly evolving, because I believe that learning is a lifelong process and am always willing to keep my senses open to different ideas.
Every body is different, every person is different. That’s why it’s essential to be able to respond to each person individually. I want you to become aware of your individuality and take advantage of your resources thanks to my training courses.
Namastè, I’m Julia Brenner and I first encountered yoga more than 11 years ago. For me, yoga is a way of life that is best learned on a mat and can then be transferred into everyday life. My philosophy is “From the mat back into everyday life”. The idea I want to convey through my yoga classes is that it is important to engage holistically with your own body and mind so that you can experience the colourful facets of your own body and being.
Since I have been practising yoga, I have attended various yoga training courses, workshops and retreats on different yoga styles (Raja Yoga, Iyengar, Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin and Aerial Yoga). My lessons incorporate a range of elements that I have observed and experienced over the years, and my approach continues to evolve. Yoga with me involves your own individual personal body therapy and breath awareness. The meditative elements calm your mind and have a beneficial effect on your being.
My yoga comes from the heart, is grounding, strengthening and liberating. That’s why I love yoga and enjoy teaching! You can find out more about me at: www.kopfstand-julia.ch.
I teach the Hatha Yoga class (7.30 p.m. to 8.45 p.m.) on Tuesday evenings and offer individual Yoga personal training sessions on request.
